What
The Annual Sneaker Ball is designed to raise funds and awareness for the work
and impact community action agencies make, while saluting the trusted unsung
heroes helping low-income people each day.
Why
You are among a select group of individuals invited to join the North Carolina
Community Action Association as a Champion for Change, at our Annual
Sneaker Ball. This event is designed to salute the front-line workers serving
under-served children, seniors, and families in communities from Manteo to
Murphy, as well as the Board of Directors and volunteers working diligently to
help people and change lives.
From the mountains to the coast, community action agencies (CAAs) are changing lives every day, providing essential programs and services to uplift families in all 100 North Carolina counties. Rooted in the mission sparked by the War on Poverty, CAAs continue to be the driving force behind programs like Self-Sufficiency (Economic Mobility), Head Start, Weatherization Assistance, Section 8 Housing, Foster Grandparents, Workforce Development, Youth Development, Meals on Wheels, and so much more.
This is more than just a celebration—it’s a tribute to the unsung heroes working tirelessly to create real change. So, dust off your best kicks, bring your energy, and get ready for another unforgettable night at the Annual Sneaker Ball!
