Making friends as an adult can be challenging. It’s a bit harder than when we were kids and could plop down a cafeteria tray at school and chat with our classmates. But making friends at a more advanced age is not impossible. It just takes a little extra effort, especially if you’re looking for friends outside of your workplace.
One way to find friends is to meet people where they gather. There’s an abundance of volunteer opportunities through the various regions of North Carolina. Volunteering can be a great way to meet new people who share similar interests, including animal shelters, fine arts organizations you’re your local community garden center.

Tao is a profound question rooted in ancient Chinese philosophy, particularly associated with Taoism. Tao, often translated as the Way represents the fundamental nature of the universe, an underlying principle that flows through all life. What is Tao invites individuals to explore the mysteries of the world and their own inner selves, understanding the interconnectedness of all things. It is not a deity but rather the natural order that guides the harmony and balance of existence. In Taoist thought, one seeks to align with Tao through simplicity, humility, and living in accordance with nature.
