Gov. Cooper proclaims May as North Carolina Community Action Month

Updated: May 6, 2022

Gov. Roy Cooper has proclaimed May as North Carolina Community Action Month. NCCAA salutes the North Carolina community action network for its efforts to eradicate poverty. COVID-19 has caused more families to experience poverty than ever. We encourage you to join us in spreading the word about the impact of community action.

As a supplement to NCAP’s Community Action Month toolkit, NCCAA has developed resources, including a proclamation by Gov. Roy Cooper, sample graphics, and social media content. Click HERE to access the toolkit.

As part of our Community Action Month activities, we invite you to join us on May 24 for Advocacy Day, during which we will raise awareness of the plight of low-income families and share the impact of the work that we collectively do. We have developed a toolkit to support your advocacy efforts. Please download the toolkit here. Click HERE to learn more about Community Action Virtual Advocacy Day 2022.
