We are pleased to announce the Spring 2020 launch of the North Carolina Community Action Association's Non-Profit Leadership Expedition! An immersive leadership experience at the beautiful Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Overview

Non-Profit leaders, join your peers for an immersive 2.5-day Leadership Expedition where your leadership skills will be enhanced through experiential learning. If you love classroom learning, slide presentations, and boring lectures, this event is not for you. We'll take advantage of the beautiful coastal environment surrounding Wrightsville Beach with sailing challenges, beach-side team building, and other outdoor learning activities to intensify learning and build actionable behaviors.

Meet the Facilitator

Prior to founding Rowhill Consulting Group, Jim served as the Vice President of the International Consortium for Executive Development Research. At ICEDR, Jim directed the Enterprise Learning System project and participated in field studies examining leadership challenges in transnational companies.

Jim Sheegog

At PricewaterhouseCoopers, he was the Chief Learning Officer (CLO).  Jim led PwC’s Executive and Organizational Development, The Americas Leader for Learning & Education, and R&D Head for Learning & Education. Reporting to the Chairman, Jim was the partner responsible for the development of PwC’s talent pipeline and enterprise learning management system, and led partnerships with the firm’s HR, knowledge management, and IT functions.

As the Assistant Dean of Global Executive Education at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, he worked with faculty teams to introduce the Global Executive MBA program in 1996, the world’s first internet-based global MBA degree program.  Prior to joining Duke University, Jim gained 11 years of pharma industry experience at Glaxo Wellcome where he led numerous functions as Head of Executive & Organization Development, National HR Director, Employee Relations, and Director of Corporate Training.

In 28 years of consulting work, Jim has advised world-class corporations, including: Siemens A.G., IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Ford Motor Company, Morgan Crucible plc, Pfizer, Philips Electronics, Deutsche Telekom, Royal Bank Canada Financial Group, FIAT, Maersk, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Royal Dutch Shell ExxonMobil, Quintiles Transnational Corporation, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, Exelon Energy Corporation, and leading medical practices.  As a USCG Licensed Captain, Jim designs and leads offshore sailing programs dedicated to building leadership skills and enhancing team performance.  He dedicates significant time to non-profit leadership development, including Field Ready- a UK-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to innovative in-country talent solutions in the energy sector, and serves on the board of The North Carolina Lung Cancer Initiative.  He’s also an adjunct professor at George Mason University.  Jim holds BA and MS degrees from the University of North Carolina. He holds a post-graduate BCD certification in clinical counseling.

Program

Join us at the Blockade Runner Resort in Wrightsville Beach. We'll kick things off in the morning for a day filled with outdoor coastal beach experiences. The coastal experiential learning won't stop until we tie everything together with a leadership closing lunch on our final day. Registration is limited so secure your spot quickly once registration opens! The rate of $1195 will include all meals, materials and outdoor excursions.
